Adriana Gomes Guimarães, 37 years old, has an International Relations degree and a post graduation in Social Projects Management. Presently working as an advisor for CUT Brazil's International Relations Secretariat, she has been coordinating the Climate Change project from IDECRI/Citizens Global Platform - Brasil for over three years. Before that, she has worked for the International Relations Secretariat of the São Paulo and Osasco municipalities, as Science and Society advisor at the British Council and for the World Social Forum International Secretariat.
Cäcilie Schildberg (

Cäcilie Schildberg coordinates the FES-project on Gender-Equal Approaches to Globalisation and also works on issues of Global Social Justice. She studied history, political sciences and romance studies and holds an PhD in political science.

Catarina Faria Alves Silveira (
Brazil
)

Catarina Faria Alves Silveira is Brazilian, living in Sao Paulo. She works at the environmental department at Central Única dos Trabalhadores (Unitarian Workers Union, CUT) Brazil. At the secretariat, she works on climate change, biodiversity and desertification as well as other national issues. Also, she has been following negotiations on Rio+20 internationally and in Brazil. Catarina has always been interested in the relationship between incorporating local knowledge to management, conflicts over natural resources. She is also a PhD student at Universidade de Sao Paulo on Environmental Sciences and has one extra year to finish her thesis on climate change negotiations and non-state actors, focusing on the labour movement. One of the aspects that she is exploring is the interlinkages between climate change negotiations, risk reduction, labour movement and preventive diplomacy.

Gustavo Endara (
Ecuador
)

Gustavo Endara is Project Coordinator at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Ecuador. He works at the Regional Energy and Climate Project, which specializes with the analysis of sustainable energy and climate policies in Latin America. He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences of Münster with a M.A. in International Management, majoring in sustainability and corporate social responsibility. His career focus has been to work in international fields. In addition he enjoys writing and analyzing topics about sustainable development, since he believes that research in this topic will help humanity to manage key strategic challenges, such as climate change.

Hariyadi (
Indonesia
)

Hariyadi holds a degree in International Relations from the University Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, and a master’s degree in Public Policy from the University Brunei Darussalam. Moreover, he is Alumni of the DIE/GIZ Training and Dialogue Programme ‘Managing Global Governance’ (MGG), where he carried out a Project Study on “The Prospect of REDD+ to be included as Post-first Commitment Period of the Kyoto Protocol: an Indonesian Perspective”. Since 2008, Hariyadi works as Research staff at the Centre for Research and Information Services, Secretariat General, Indonesian House of Representatives, Jakarta.

Josephine Günther studies cultural anthropology and sociology at the University of Heidelberg. From January to April 2013, she did an internship at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Department for Global Policy and Development.

Judith Gouverneur holds a master's degree in political science from the University of Trier. She is currently working for the Global Policy and Development Department, FES Berlin.

Marioliva González (
Mexico
)

Marioliva González is an environmental activist. She studied International Relations at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Méxicon (UNAM) and has always been involved in environmental and youth participation issues. Seven years ago she founded GYAN Mexico and her organization has closely followed the negotiations on Rio+20 and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), among others. In addition, she works on appropriate technology for communities in Mexico, such as eco-cook stoves and water catchment systems.

Nina Netzer (

)

Nina Netzer is in charge of International Energy and Climate Policy at FES in Berlin, advocating a just, socially compatible and development-oriented climate and energy policy as well as an inclusive and rights-based sustainable development worldwide.
 

Ravi Kant Tripathi (
India
)

Ravi Kant Tripathi is a law graduate from the National Law University (Lucknow) in India and is currently pursuing his Master studies at Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR). Back home, he worked as coordinator for a youth led think tank called Youth Initiative Network (Research Unit) that works on aspects of public policy and environmental governance.  He also has a research background in natural resources law and sustainable development and is participating in the Water Justice-movement with trade unions. His interest in Green Economy is to work towards creating alternative solutions for a more participatory and equitable global model at Rio+20 to counter challenges of global food and water insecurity. He believes that achieving this requires a clear mandate not just on environmental sustainability but differing socioeconomic realities in the developing world.

Rwatirinda Mahembe (
Zimbabwe
)

Rwatirinda Mahembe is Founding Director and Legal Adviser to Zimbabwe Association of Displaced Workers, Former president of Zimbabwe Graphical Workers Union and Vice Chairman of the National Employment Council for the Printing Packaging and Newspaper Industry. He held leadership positions like chairman of Thomas Rudland Development Association and Legal Adviser to the Reigate District Development Association. He holds a Master of Arts in Labour Policies and Globalisation from the University of Kassel and Berlin School of Economics and Law. Rwatirinda sees the slow policy up-take of green economy by Zimbabwean Civic Society as disastrous, but favors a bottom-up top-down democratic greening process.

Stella Paul (
India
)

Stella Paul is an Indian environment and development journalist with ten years of experience as a reporter, editor and media trainer. She reports independently to several media outlets, including the environmental magazine ‘Planet Earth’. A 2011 winner of the global Climate Change Media Partnership fellowship, Stella had started out as a political news reporter, but later moved to environment journalism which she is strongly passionate about. She has a master’s degree in Comparative Literature and also a Post-graduate diploma in Environmental Law. Stella mostly writes on climate change, climate adaptation, rural livelihood and sustainable development.

Valeska Hesse (

Valeska Hesse is Resident Director of the FES Indonesia Office, a position she shares with Daniel Reichart. She is based in Jakarta. Before being headed to Asia, she worked for FES in Mexico and Central America.

Werner Puschra (
Germany
)

Dr. Werner Puschra is the Executive Director of the New York office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. Previously, he was the Head of the Africa Department at FES Headquarters in Bonn. He also served as resident director of the foundation’s field offices in Peru (1986-1990), South Korea (1990 – 1994) and Egypt (1994 – 2000). He holds an MA in Economics and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin.
